ISSN Introduction
ISSN is continuous, linear symbology which is widely adopted to identify serial publications. "ISSN" stands for "International Standard Serial Number". Additionally, ISSN has fixed data length of 12 characters (excluding a check digit) and the data encoded in ISSN always starts with "977".

How to Install ISSN Barcode Add-In for Visio
  1. 1.
    Make sure all Visio documents on your computer are closed
  2. 2.
    Download and unzip KA.Barcode Add-In for Visio package
  3. 3.
    Run the setup file "setup.exe" to install this plugin
  4. 4.
    Create a new Visio document and click "Install" in a pop-up window
  5. 5.
    Now you can see a tab called "Add-Ins" at the upper left corner of the document
How to Create ISSN Barcode in Microsoft Visio
  1. 1.
    Move to "Add-Ins" tab in a new Visio document
  2. 2.
    A barcode setting panel pops up on the right
  3. 3.
    Choose "ISSN" in the "Barcode Type" pull-down menu
  4. 4.
    Type valid ISSN barcode data in the text box of "Data"
  5. 5.
    If necessary, revise the parameters of the barcode in the barcode setting panel
  6. 6.
    Click "Generate" after revision and the barcode is inserted on the document
