As you might expect, the differences between a document library and a list are small and most of the extension points available for a list are also available for a SharePoint library We will note the extension points in this section as well, even though many are duplicates from the previous list section Let s create a document library from the Create dialog and explore the capabilities and options associated with a document library in SharePoint To create a document library, start in the page shown in Figure 1-8 by going to the home page for your site, dropping down the Site Actions menu, and choosing View All Site Content The Create dialog shown in Figure 1-9
