properties of every SharePoint project item that is in the solution along with every feature and package in the solution You can also re-arrange features and SharePoint project items you can drag and drop a SharePoint project item from one feature to another feature in the same or a different package Using the Packaging Explorer can prove very helpful if you have a large SharePoint solution with a large number of SharePoint project items and features In that case, opening every single feature just to check which SharePoint project items are in there can be very time consuming With the Packaging Explorer you can see all your packages with features and rearrange them to your liking much easier and faster than clicking through designers
Package Designer for Advanced Users From the Package Designer you can also perform some advanced tasks If you click the Advanced tab at the bottom of the Package Designer the designer will change to a view that allows you to add additional assemblies to the deployment shown in Figure 11-23
