After you click Publish and wait a few moments for publishing to be successful, the wizard text changes to that shown in Figure 149 During the moments you were waiting, a few things happened First, the form template was uploaded to the server The target upload location can be a new or existing document library or anywhere else within the current site collection on the server Once uploaded, the template is thoroughly analyzed If there are any incompatibilities or errors with the form template, they surface now Should no problems arise, the template is converted into a special format that is consumable by Forms Services for rendering in the browser At this point, the form template is on the server and can be lled out from within the InfoPath client application, but it s still not browserready The next step is to activate the form template to a SharePoint site collection Activation happens automatically during the publishing process from InfoPath (It can also be done manually from the SharePoint Central Administration site We ll explore manual activation in 17)
