PLANET Data Length Adjustment in VB.NET

PLANET is fixed-length. In general, a POSTNET barcode has 12 or 14 digits of data. And our VB.NET PLANET Barcode Control will automatically compute and append check digit to the barcode during its generation. So, users should input 11 or 13 digits.

PLANET Data Encoding in VB.NET - Detail Explanation

To achieve correct, efficient PLANET data encoding, users are supposed to do the following things:

1. Download KeepAutomation VB.NET PLANET Generation Component.

2. Create your VB.NET project in Microsoft Visual Studio, and then integrate the component (DLL Class Library) into your target Visual Basic .NET project (see detail installation guide).

3. Now, you can begin to encode PLANET barcodes with the help of following data encoding explanations. Note that, PLANET is a variable-length barcode and its barcode length will be changed by the number of encoded data.

Example 1: Encode 11 digits of data
