UPC-E Introduction
UPC-E, a variation of UPC-A, is a continuous, self-checking symbology which is more compact than UPC-A. UPC-E is widely used for small products and its data length is fixed: 6 characters, excluding the Number System and a check digit. Additionally, UPC-E can only be used when the Number System is "0" or "1".
UPC-E Encodable Character Set:
  • Numeric digits: 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9

How to Install UPC-E Barcode Add-In for PowerPoint
  1. 1.
    Download KA.Barcode Add-In for PowerPoint and unzip it
  2. 2.
    Make sure all PowerPoint documents are closed on your computer
  3. 3.
    Double click the setup file "setup.exe" to install this plugin
  4. 4.
    Open a new PowerPoint document and click "Install" in a pop-up window
  5. 5.
    Successfully, a tab called "Barcode Settings" is placed at the upper left corner of the document

How to Draw an UPC-E Barcode in PowerPoint
  1. 1.
    Click the add-in tab in a new PowerPoint document
  2. 2.
    A barcode setting panel pops up on the right side
  3. 3.
    Select "UPC-E" in the "barcode type" pull-down menu
  4. 4.
    In the text box of "Data", type valid UPC-E barcode data
  5. 5.
    (Optional) Revise the properties of UPC-E like Number System, bar width, etc
  6. 6.
    Click "update barcode to current slide" or "update a list of barcodes"
  7. 7.
    Now you can a see a generated UPC-E barcode on the document
