QR Code Barcode Introduction
QR Code is a kind of two-dimensional (2D) barcode type, which is easily interpreted by scanner equipment, such as QR scanners, mobile phones with a camera, and smart phones. This barcode type was developed by Denso Wave and it was released with the initial aim of being a symbol in 1994. Nowadays, it can contain a considerably greater volume of information than other linear barcodes. Besides, it can be decoded at high speed.
QR Code encodable character sets includes:
  • Numeric data (digits 0-9)
  • Kanji character
  • Alphanumeric data (digits 0-9; uppercase letters A -Z;) and nine other characters: (space, $ % * + - . / :)
  • Byte data (default: ISO/IEC 8859-1; or other sets as otherwise defined)
How to Install QR Code PowerPoint Add-In
  1. 1.
    Download KA.Barcode PowerPoint QR Code Add-In and unzip it
  2. 2.
    Double click "KA.Barcode PowerPoint QR Code Add-In" and run the setup file
  3. 3.
    Launch PowerPoint and create a new document or open an already existing document
  4. 4.
    Go to the QR Code Add-In tab in menu bar
  5. 5.
    KA.Barcode Add-In will automatically show at the upper left corner of the worksheet
How to Generate QR Code in PowerPoint
  1. 1.
    Click on the Add-Ins tab and the barcode setting dialog can be found on the right side of PowerPoint
  2. 2.
    Choose "QR Code" in the "barcode type" property
  3. 3.
    Input QR Code valid encoding data based on your needs
  4. 4.
    (Optional)Customize the concerned properties for generating required barcode types
  5. 5.
    If you want to insert a QR Code to the current slide, you should click the "update barcode to current slide"
  6. 6.
    Or if you want to imbed a list of QR Code barcodes in each of slides, you need to click "update a list of barcodes"
  7. 7.
    Your needed QR Code image or images will successfully appear on the target slide or slides
