Install KA.Barcode Add-In for Excel
  1. 1.
    Close all your Excel documents
  2. 2.
    Download KA.Barcode Add-In for Excel and unzip.
  3. 3.
    Click KeepAutomation.Barcode.Excel.2007.Addin.msi to install.
  4. 4.
    Open an Excel document. Click "install" in the pop-up "Microsoft Office Customization Installer" window
  5. 5.
    Now you will see Add-Ins in the Excel menu bar.
If the KeepAutomation Add-In Control does not appear in Excel Add-In Menu immediately after installation, you need to adjust some more settings in Excel. Please follow the steps below:

    Click Office button -> Excel Option->Trust Center->Trust Center Settings->Add-Ins
  2. 2.
    Undo "Disable all Application Add-Ins (may impair functionality)"
  3. 3.
    Click Office button -> Excel Option->Add-Ins, select "COM Add-ins" in "Manage" and click "Go"
  4. 4.
    Select "KeepAutomation Excel 2007 AddIn" and click "OK"
  5. 5.
    Now the KeepAutomation Add-Ins is added in the Excel menu bar.
How to Generate a Barcode in Excel
  1. 1.
    Switch to Add-In tab in Excel, click "Barcode" in the add-in, and a Barcode Setting panel pops up.
  2. 2.
    Select the cell for barcode generation, and click "Generate" in Barcode Setting panel.
  3. 3.
    Now a Code 128 is generated.settings in the panel!
  4. 4.
    Select the barcode image and you can change barcode and adjust settings in the panel!
How to Generate a Barcode List in Excel
  1. 1.
    Switch to Add-In tab in Excel
  2. 2.
    Click "Barcode" in KeepAutomation add-in, and a Barcode Setting panel pops up.
  3. 3.
    Select a list of cells for barcode generation, and click "Generate" in Barcode Setting panel.
  4. 4.
    All the selected cells are converted into corresponding barcode images
How to Update Barcode Image
  1. 1.
    Select the generated barcode image
  2. 2.
    Adjust barcode settings in the right-side setting panel
  3. 3.
    Click "Update" button, and you will see the updated barcode image
How to Link a Barcode/Multiple Barcodes to Cell Contents
  1. 1.
    Open an Excel spreadsheet, generate a barcode and click "link to cell"
  2. 2.
    Select a cell with data, and click "update" (To undo it, click Cancel)
  3. 3.
    Now the barcode image is successfully linked to the data in the cell
  4. 4.
    To revise multiple cell data, click "update link to cell"
  5. 5.
    Now all the linked barcode images are updated to the revised data in selected cells.
