A movie action (PDF 12) can be used to play a movie in a oating window or within the annotation rectangle of a movie annotation (see Movie Annotations on page 510 and Section 88, Movies ) The movie annotation must be associated with the page that is the destination of the link annotation or outline item containing the movie action, or with the page object with which the action is associated (See implementation note 77 in Appendix H) The contents of a movie action dictionary are identical to those of a movie activation dictionary (see Table 880 on page 571), with the additional entries shown in Table 843 The contents of the activation dictionary associated with the movie annotation are ignored; the information speci ed in the movie action dictionary is used instead

Hide Actions
A hide action (PDF 12) hides or shows one or more annotations on the screen by setting or clearing their Hidden ags (see Section 842, Annotation Flags ) This type of action can be used in combination with appearance streams and trigger events (Sections 844, Appearance Streams, and 852, Trigger Events ) to display pop-up help information on the screen For example, the E (enter) and X (exit) trigger events in an annotation s additional-actions dictionary can be used to show and hide the annotation when the user rolls the cursor in and out of its active area on the page; this can be used to pop up a help label, or tool tip, describing the effect of clicking the mouse at that location on the page Table 844 shows the action dictionary entries speci c to this type of action (See implementation notes 78 and 79 in Appendix H)

KEY TYPE VALUE
name dictionary, string, or array
(Required) The type of action that this dictionary describes; must be Hide for a hide action (Required) The annotation or annotations to be hidden or shown, speci ed in any of the following forms:
An indirect reference to an annotation dictionary A string giving the fully quali ed eld name of an interactive form eld whose associated widget annotation or annotations are to be affected (see Field Names on page 532) An array of such dictionaries or strings
boolean
(Optional) A ag indicating whether to hide the annotation (true) or show it (false) Default value: true
Named Actions
Table 845 lists several named actions (PDF 12) that PDF viewer applications are expected to support; further names may be added in the future (See implementation notes 80 and 81 in Appendix H)
