There are two options for resending requests from the TCP/IP monitor You can either resend a request exactly as it was sent earlier, or you can modify and resend the request Resending an unmodified request is useful when you are debugging a server problem or if you want to see the effect of a change to the server Resending a modified request is useful when you want to understand the behavior of a server and correct the behavior of a client To modify and resend a request, do the following: 1 Right click on the message in the TCP/IP monitor message tree 2 Invoke the Modify request menu item A new request appears as a child of the existing request Note that if you want to resend the unmodified request, simply invoke the Resend request menu item at this point 3 Edit the request in the Request pane, for example, by changing one of the input parameters 4 Right click on the modified message in the message tree and invoke the Send Modified Request menu item Your modified request is re-sent and the result is displayed in the Response pane
