QR Code Maker In .NET
Using Barcode creator for .NET framework Control to generate, create QR Code JIS X 0510 image in .NET applications.
The rst step to building any signi cant application is to create a solution A solution is a set of related projects and other solution les that comprise your application Working with a set of projects as a single solution allows you to easily edit, debug, and execute all parts of the application from within one Visual Studio session

A project de nes a separately compiled component in your application It consists of a set of project items that work together to provide the functionality in the component A project is usually compiled into an executable program (exe) or class library (dll) The number of projects that you add to a solution depends on how you layer your application For most applications, you de ne a minimum of three projects: one for the user interface layer, one for the business logic layer, and one for the data access layer A project item is a Windows form, source code le, XML le, report, resource le, or any other type of item that you want to include in your project You add project items to projects based on the project s purpose For example, the project de ned for the user interface layer includes a Windows Form project item for each form required in your application In working with NET, another important term is assembly An assembly is the set of les that comprise an installable component, including the code, resources, versioning, and so on In most cases, an assembly maps to a single project And be careful about the word application This book uses the term application from the user s perspective, which is basically everything that makes the particular software program function This could be any number of executable programs and class libraries Visual Studio often uses the term application synonymous with the term assembly, so Visual Studio calls each project in your solution an application This section demonstrates how to create a solution, add projects to the solution, and add project items to the project to begin building an application

QR Code 2d Barcode Creation In VS .NET
Using Barcode generator for ASP.NET Control to generate, create Quick Response Code image in ASP.NET applications.
The rst step in creating an application is to create the solution for the application, although the process is somewhat hidden In most cases, you don t create a solution separately Instead, you de ne the solution when you create the rst project for the application To create a solution: 1 Select File | New | Project The New Project dialog is displayed (see Figure 31)

2 De ne the type of project to create by selecting the desired project template Use the tree view on the left panel of the New Project dialog to select the project type and view the many different project templates for that project type in the right panel For example, to create a Visual Basic Windows application, select the Visual Basic node and then the Windows node from the Project types tree view on the left Then select the Windows Application template from the list on the right 3 Enter the project name Use standard naming conventions for your project name One recommended standard is to use an abbreviation of the application name with a suf x de ning the type of project For example, you could name the Purchase Tracker Windows project PTWin Another standard, especially if you are building a product, is to use the companyNamecomponentName convention For example, if you worked for a company named InStep, you could name the component InStepPurchaseTrackerWindows or a shortened form of that, such as InStepPTWin 4 Select the desired le system location for the project 5 Enter the name of the solution Use standard naming conventions for your solution name One recommended standard is to use the full name of the application For example, you could name the solution PurchaseTracker Alternatively, you could use an abbreviation of the application name with Solution as the suf x, such as PTSolution
