A wireless network provides the following advantages:
Mobility: Similar to a cell phone, a wireless laptop or handheld computer (see Figure 11-1) enables you to communicate from just about anywhere.You re not forced to sit in front of a single desktop computer at a single location. Instead, you can use a wireless device to check your stocks while relaxing in front of the television (see Figure 11-2), check email while cooking (see Figure 11-3), or nd someplace quiet in the house to get some real work done. In addition, you can take your wireless computer on the road and access the Internet from public Wi-Fi hotspots such as airports, hotels, universities, restaurants, and coffee shops.
