Check Network or Cable Connections Make sure that you are connected to the same wired or wireless network or directly to the Source System with a crossover cable. You can usually check the status of your network connections by hovering over the network connection system tray icon, when using Windows XP, as shown in Figure 8-1.

Unexpected Application Settings Result
Problem: Unexpected application settings result after the migration is complete. Fix: Only the settings for applications that are installed on the Source System are included in the migration. If you performed a Custom migration, verify that you selected the required settings.
