Priority This option sets the process priority of a FastCGI application The default value enables a FastCGI application to have the same priority as the Apache server itself Other appropriate values are defined by your operating system s setpriority system call In a Red Hat Linux system, the setpriority system call permits a value in the range of 20 to 20 The lower the number, the more favorable the scheduling used for the process However, mod_fastcgi does not allow a negative value, which means that you cannot set a FastCGI process to have a higher priority than the Apache server itself So, all you can do is use a positive integer number to lower the priority of the application The default value is 0 Port This option specifies the TCP port that the FastCGI application will listen on Because ports lower than 1024 are used for standard services, you have to use a higher port number Use of this option enables you to access the application from another system No environment variable is provided by default Socket This option specifies the path name of the Unix domain socket that the application listens on The module creates this socket within the directory specified by the FastCgiIpcDir directive The default value is Default Socket If you do not provide either the port or socket option, the module creates a Unix domain socket for the application by itself initial-env This option can be used to insert an environment variable (with value) in the FastCGI application s environment table You can use this option multiple times to insert more than one key=value pair in the environment of the application No environment variable is provided by default Note that the -socket and -port options are mutually exclusive Pathname must not equal the pathname supplied to an earlier AppClass or ExternalAppClass directive
