PDP context activation and disconnection
The CAMEL service may arm the PDP context disconnect DP at PDP context establishment or at PDP context establishment acknowledgement When the PDPc disconnect is reported to the gsmSCF, an indication is included about the entity that caused the PDPc disconnection The following entities may cause the disconnection of the PDPc: UE, SGSN, HLR or GGSN The disconnect by the HLR may be related to operator requirement, ie the HLR instructs the SGSN to release all active PDPcs The disconnect by the GGSN may be related to charging activities in the GGSN The addressed application would normally not initiate the PDPc disconnect The release of a PDP context before the PDP context has reached the active phase may be caused by a failure in the SGSN or GGSN in PDP context establishment These events include, but are not limited to: APN and GGSN selection cannot nd a matching PDP context subscription record; the requested APN is not allowed; no GGSN address can be determined from the APN; the GGSN disallows the PDP context establishment
